We have many groups to encourage member participation...

Musical Groups

Cathedral Choir consists of 21 members. We rehearse Thursday evenings at 7:30PM  and share our musical message every Sunday during the Choral Eurcharist at 10:30AM. Choirmaster Brenda Leiby and Assistant Choirmaster/Director Judy Becker choose a variety of choral styles for all to enjoy. The Cathedral Choir has sung at Manor Care as an Outreach venture and have also sung for weddings and funeral services for Rosedale.

Rosedale Ringers consist of 15 members. We rehearse Thursday evenings at 6:30PM  and ring out during Sunday Choral Eucharist monthly.

Chapel Choir is the children's choir consisting of grade school age children. We rehearse Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM and sing out for you monthly from September to April.

Chamber Chimes consists of about 11 youth members and rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7PM. They play periodically throughout the year.

  Women's Guild
K.Sandman, President, B. Bankes, Vice President, E. Giles, Secretary, B. Reeser, Treasurer

The Women's Guild is organized to help the church prosper in its mission to witness to God and Jesus Christ. All women of Rosedale church are members of the Women's Guild and are encouraged to attend meetings and participate in the Guild activities.

The Women's Guild meetings are held the second Tuesday at 7:00PM in the months of March through May and September through November. We run the sandwich and soup sales, make fruit baskets for the homebound, purchase a rose for each newborn baby and purchase a special candle for each child that is baptized. We operate the bake sale table at all dinners and chicken barbecues. In the past we have run craft fairs and basket bingo. Birthday and Anniversary cards are sent to each member on their special day by a member of the Guild. We usually are able to donate several thousand dollars annually to the church to support it's general fund.

Blessing of the Animals

  Christian Education
K. Powers, Chairperson, K. Sandman, Secretary

At Rosedale we have Sunday School classes for Pre-school age through adult. We use the "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum which follows the lessons which are read in worship each Sunday. Our Christian Education team works together on the following functions each year: Awarding Bibles to our second graders, perfect attendance and youth group awards, Blessing of the Animals, Halloween party, Advent luncheon, St. Nicholas visitation, Live Nativity, Christmas Eve stockings, Mardi Gras celebration, Easter Egg Hunt, Ascension Sunday balloon launch, Pentecost birthday cake and summer Sunday School.

Youth in third through sixth grades assist in worship by serving as acolytes. Many of these children also participate as members of the Chapel Choir which sings in worship about once a month. During the children's sermon in the 10:30AM Choral Eucharist Service the youth are able to come forward and participate in a short discussion at which time they may bring a donation which is called the "Kids 4 Kids" offering. This offering is used to help other less fortunate children in the community and around the world.

Our Youth Catechetical Program leading to Confirmation is a two-year process, usually involving those in grades seven and eight. The young people discuss topics such as doctrine, the Christian life, worship, and formation of the Bible. We invariably look into matters relevant to the youth and their times. Opportunities for the older youth to serve the church include assisting as doorkeepers, crucifiers, readers and nursery attendants.  Confirmation classes are held every Wednesday evening at 6:30PM.

Inspirational Bible Study
Rosedale recently added a Bible Study program lead by A. Becker. Bible study is held once a week during the summer months, starting in June! The topics for this summer will encompass the Gospel of Matthew.  Please check the monthly calendar or contact the office for more information.
