We have many ways in which
we reach out to our community and beyond...
Outreach

Bank. CROP
Walk

bank and the remainder goes towards the fight on world hunger. Thanksgiving

Laureldale rotate every other year. The Adult choir

providing an Angel Tree to benefit children and families at
the Muhlenberg Elementary School. We will also be
donating sweatshirts to children at the New
Holland Elementary School. Souper Sunday
Collection for Greater Food Bank
February - We call this "Souper Bowl Sunday".
Rosedale
collects soup and dollars for the Greater Berks Food Bank.
Volunteer
Home Care
This is an all year long participation effort for
Rosedale. Some members volunteer their time to assist
those in need by running errands and helping out in that
way. When we collect offering for this cause it goes
towards the Volunteer Home Care organization to help fund
their overall operation. About
the Muhlenberg Cluster:
Rosedale and two other local churches - Christ Church,
Temple and Good Shepherd Church, Tuckerton - combine during Lent and worship every Wednesday evening. The
loose offering from these services goes to a different Lenten
outreach every year. Rosedale
has given to the following organizations through the years:
Berks Women In Crisis
Lancaster Theological Seminary
Bethany Children's Home
Habitat for Humanity
Heifer International
We
have also participated in the following through UCC
sponsorship:
One Great Hour of Sharing
All denominations can participate in
One Great Hour of Sharing. At Rosedale we collect during Lent and this offering goes
to wherever it is needed around the world.
Strengthen the Church
This
UCC offering is gathered to help grow the
local church. Through
our gifts to Strengthen the Church, we further our commitment
to be a multiracial, multicultural church, open and affirming
and accessible to all.
This
offering helps to strengthen and renew existing congregations,
and it also assists with funding leadership for new
congregations. Further,
in addition to leadership, this offering assists with the
start of new churches.
Our Church's Wider Mission
This
is gathered to help grow the UCC Church organization beyond
the local church level.
